In 1982, Argentina took control of the small islands off their coast known as the Falklands. As it was British territory at the time, the small, remote archipelago was quickly overrun with the full military might of Great Britain. Fighting lasted just 74 days, but it featured brutal tank battles, sunken ships, and guerrilla warfare in the mountains, all against the subarctic backdrop of the South Atlantic.
